REY AGUIRRE
Raised in Stockton, the same 209 that gave the fight world the Diaz brothers. Now based in Las Vegas, where the biggest nights in combat sports happen down the street. Rey started FightBanter to cover MMA and boxing the way fans actually talk about it: straight, loud, and with an opinion on every card.
THE 209 TO THE STRIP.
Stockton does not raise quiet fans. Rey grew up in the same city that produced Nate and Nick Diaz, watching fights in living rooms where everybody had a take and nobody waited to be asked. That is the house style at FightBanter: say what you actually think about the card, then back it up with what actually happened.
Las Vegas made it a job. Living a few miles from the arenas where the UFC and the biggest boxing promotions stage their marquee nights means fight week is not something Rey reads about. It is traffic, weigh-ins, sportsbook lines moving across the street and the walk home after a main event that either delivered or did not.
Every story on FightBanter starts with the sourced version, linked to the outlet or the official record it came from. Then comes Rey's Take: an opinion, sometimes a wrong one, always argued from the facts above it. If Rey thinks a decision was robbery, a booking is a dud or a champion is ducking someone, you will read it. If he cannot source it, you will not.
