Conor McGregor Net Worth 2026: Purses, Whiskey Money and the Holloway Loss

Conor McGregor's net worth in 2026 is an estimated $200 million to $250 million, anchored by a $150 million whiskey payday and roughly $100 million for boxing Mayweather.

Conor McGregor's net worth in 2026 is an estimate, and the honest range is $200 million to $250 million. The number nobody disputes is the whiskey money: Forbes put his personal cut of the Proper No. Twelve sale to Proximo Spirits at an estimated $150 million in April 2021, on top of the $100 million or so he took home for boxing Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

Everything else is layered on top of that. He has three $3 million disclosed UFC purses on the Nevada books, a $5 million base for the Poirier trilogy fight, pay-per-view points that pushed single nights past $20 million, and a part-ownership stake in BKFC. He also has a court judgment and legal bills going the other way, and a 2026 comeback that lasted 69 seconds.

This page walks through what is actually disclosed, what is reported by a named outlet, and where the total lands once you add it up.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission used to publish fighter pay, and McGregor's Las Vegas fights give us the only hard base numbers in his MMA career. For the Nate Diaz rematch at UFC 202 on August 20, 2016, Nevada listed McGregor at $3,000,000 with no win bonus, against $2,000,000 for Diaz. McGregor won that fight by majority decision.

Two years later, for the Khabib Nurmagomedov fight at UFC 229 on October 6, 2018, the commission again listed McGregor at $3,000,000 flat. Khabib, the champion, was listed at $2,000,000. McGregor lost by fourth-round submission.

The third Nevada number came at UFC 246 on January 18, 2020, when he stopped Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds. Nevada listed McGregor at $3,000,000, Cerrone at $200,000, and McGregor picked up a $50,000 performance bonus on top. That card drew a disclosed gate of $11,087,629 and 1,353,429 PPV buys.

Nevada stopped releasing purses after 2020, so the base figure for the Poirier trilogy and the 2026 Holloway rematch never hit a public commission report.

The Mayweather Fight: $30 Million Guaranteed, About $100 Million Total

The biggest single payday of McGregor's career was not an MMA fight. He boxed Floyd Mayweather at T-Mobile Arena on August 26, 2017, and lost by 10th-round TKO. The Nevada commission disclosed guaranteed purses of $100 million for Mayweather and $30 million for McGregor, roughly ten times what McGregor had earned for his previous UFC 205 fight against Eddie Alvarez.

The guarantee was only the floor. Showtime announced 4.3 million domestic PPV buys, the second-highest in pay-per-view history, and the live gate came in at $55,414,865. Forbes later estimated McGregor's total take from the fight at about $100 million. Dana White has used a $130 million figure for the same fight when talking up the "Conor McGregor effect" in July 2026, so even the famous number has a range.

PPV Points and the Poirier Trilogy

McGregor's real UFC money has always come from pay-per-view points, which never appear in commission reports. Forbes estimated he earned about $22 million for the January 2021 Poirier rematch at UFC 257 in Abu Dhabi, where he was knocked out in the second round. For the trilogy at UFC 264 in Las Vegas on July 10, 2021, Forbes put his total at roughly $33 million.

Industry trackers went higher. LowKick MMA, citing MMA Salaries, reported McGregor at $23,011,000 for UFC 264, built from a $5,000,000 guarantee and an estimated $18,000,000 PPV bonus, with Poirier at $5,121,000. Those are estimates, not disclosures, and the spread between Forbes and the trackers shows how soft these numbers are. What is not in dispute: McGregor broke his left leg at the end of round one, lost by doctor's stoppage, and did not fight again for five years.

On the Forbes highest-paid athletes list for 2022, covering that fight, McGregor landed at No. 35 with $43 million.

Proper No. Twelve: The $150 Million Whiskey Payday

McGregor launched Proper No. Twelve Irish whiskey in 2018 with business partner Ken Austin and Proximo Spirits, the company behind Jose Cuervo and Bushmills. Proximo already owned 49 percent of the brand. On April 28, 2021, the partners sold their majority stake to Proximo in a deal reported as worth up to $600 million.

That headline number covers the whole brand and all the sellers. Forbes estimated McGregor's personal share at about $150 million. The sale is why he topped the Forbes list of highest-paid athletes for 2021 with $180 million over the twelve months from May 1, 2020 to May 1, 2021, ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Only $22 million of that came from fighting.

He stayed on as the brand's face and has described Proper Twelve as "my baby for life."

BKFC Ownership and Other Business

On April 28, 2024, McGregor announced that McGregor Sports & Entertainment had become a part owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Triller remains the majority shareholder, and neither the size of the stake nor the price was disclosed. BKFC president David Feldman said having "the biggest guy in all of combat sports" as an owner would "move the needle tremendously."

The stake is a bet on equity rather than a paycheck. Until BKFC sells or goes public, its value to McGregor is paper. The same goes for his other ventures, including the Road House acting debut that put him on an Amazon red carpet in 2024, his pubs in Dublin and his Paradigm-managed endorsement deals. None of those come with public numbers, so they sit in the estimate as upside rather than hard assets.

The 2026 Comeback and the $25 Million Gate

After years of teased dates, a scrapped Michael Chandler fight and a White House card he never ended up on, McGregor finally returned on July 11, 2026 at UFC 329 against Max Holloway at T-Mobile Arena, the first UFC event of his career broadcast on Paramount+ rather than pay-per-view. The fight was a welterweight rematch of their 2013 bout.

Dana White announced at the pre-fight press conference that the card had sold a $25 million live gate, beating the $22 million Sphere record for the biggest in UFC history. "The Conor McGregor effect is huge," he said.

Because Paramount pays the UFC a flat rights fee, there were no PPV buys to point to, and Nevada no longer discloses purses. McGregor's pay for the night has not been confirmed by any commission or by the UFC.

The 69-Second Loss to Holloway

The fight itself was a disaster. McGregor threw two flying kicks in the opening seconds, landed awkwardly and hurt his right knee. He could barely stand or switch stances, Holloway asked him if he could continue, and referee Mike Beltran waved it off at 1:09 of round one. The official result is Holloway by TKO (knee injury).

Holloway called for a trilogy, saying "it is the only fight that matters" and pointing to the money it would make. McGregor left the cage without speaking to the broadcast. His last win remains the Cerrone fight in January 2020, and he has now lost three straight, two of them by injury stoppage.

Where the Estimate Lands

Add it up. About $100 million for Mayweather, an estimated $150 million from the whiskey sale, roughly $55 million across the two Poirier fights per Forbes, $9 million in disclosed Nevada base purses plus PPV points from the Diaz, Alvarez, Khabib and Cerrone fights, and an undisclosed paycheck for UFC 329. Gross career earnings north of $350 million is a reasonable floor.

Then subtract. Taxes in Ireland and the United States take a big share. Managers, coaches and camps take theirs. Legal costs, a lavish lifestyle and years of cars, boats and watches eat more. Celebrity net worth sites throw around $200 million, but that is a third-party estimate with no disclosed method.

FightBanter's estimate is $200 million to $250 million in 2026. The whiskey money is the anchor, the Mayweather fight is the second pillar, and the BKFC stake is the only thing on the list that could still move the number up without him fighting again.

REY'S TAKERey Aguirre

I have watched McGregor fight weeks from a few miles away for a decade, and the money story is simpler than the hype. He got rich twice: once for ten rounds with Floyd and once for selling whiskey. Everything since has been maintenance. The Poirier trilogy paid, sure, but the leg break cost him five prime earning years, and the Holloway rematch cost him his aura in 69 seconds. The $25 million gate proves people will still pay to see him walk out, which is why the UFC will book a trilogy if his knee allows it. My read: the whiskey money makes him untouchable financially, so he does not need the fight, and fighters who do not need the fight tend to lose it. If Holloway 3 happens, I lean Holloway again, and I would not touch McGregor at any price until I see him finish a full round healthy.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK.

How much did Conor McGregor make for the Mayweather fight?

The Nevada State Athletic Commission disclosed a $30 million guaranteed purse for McGregor and $100 million for Floyd Mayweather. With 4.3 million domestic PPV buys and a $55.4 million gate, Forbes estimated McGregor's total take at about $100 million. Dana White has since cited $130 million. The fight took place August 26, 2017, and Mayweather won by 10th-round TKO.

How much did Conor McGregor get from selling Proper No. Twelve?

The April 2021 sale of the partners' majority stake to Proximo Spirits was reported as worth up to $600 million for the whole brand. Forbes estimated McGregor's personal share at about $150 million. Proximo already owned 49 percent before the deal, and McGregor stayed on as the brand's spokesman afterward.

What is Conor McGregor's highest disclosed UFC purse?

His highest base purse on a public commission report is $3,000,000, which Nevada listed three times: UFC 202 against Nate Diaz in 2016, UFC 229 against Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018 and UFC 246 against Donald Cerrone in 2020. His real pay was far higher because of PPV points, which commissions do not report. Nevada stopped publishing purses after 2020.

How much did Conor McGregor make at UFC 329 against Max Holloway?

Nobody outside the UFC knows. Nevada no longer discloses purses, and UFC 329 aired on Paramount+ under a flat rights deal, so there were no PPV buys to estimate points from. Dana White did announce a record $25 million live gate. McGregor lost by first-round TKO after injuring his knee at 1:09.

Is Conor McGregor a billionaire?

No. Even generous estimates put his net worth around $200 million to $250 million. His gross career earnings are likely above $350 million, but taxes, management fees, legal costs and spending take a large share. His BKFC ownership stake could add value if the promotion is ever sold, but its size has never been disclosed.
