Colby Covington Wants Usman Trilogy and Chimaev After Sweeping Muhammad at RAF 13
Covington swept Belal Muhammad 10-0 at RAF 13 and immediately called for unfinished business with Kamaru Usman and a weight-compliant Khamzat Chimaev.

Colby Covington is not slowing down in his second career. The former interim UFC welterweight champion blanked ex-champ Belal Muhammad 10-0 at RAF 13 on Friday, then grabbed the microphone and rattled off a wish list that includes two of the biggest names in welterweight history.
First on the list: Kamaru Usman. Covington called a potential trilogy "a huge matchup" and said the two have "unfinished business," per Yardbarker. Usman holds two UFC wins over Covington, including a fifth-round TKO that broke Covington's jaw and a decision in the rematch. A grappling-only rubber match strips away the striking that decided both cage fights and reframes the rivalry on Covington's terms.
Covington also named Khamzat Chimaev but added a condition. "We have to get on a weight plan. He can't keep being unprofessional and missing weight," Covington said. Chimaev has reportedly indicated that RAF already has plans for a Covington bout, though nothing official has been announced.
The 10-0 sweep over Muhammad was Covington's second dominant RAF outing after a 5-3 win over Arman Tsarukyan in July. With two former UFC champions now in his rearview, Covington has positioned himself as the promotion's marquee draw in its grappling format.
RAF has not confirmed Covington's next opponent or a timeline for the potential Usman trilogy. The promotion's next event is expected later this fall.
Colby Covington blanking Belal Muhammad 10-0 and then asking for Usman and Chimaev is exactly the kind of second act I did not expect from him, and I mean that as a compliment. He beat Tsarukyan in July, now he shut out a former champion. In a wrestling format, Colby is legitimately elite, and he is making RAF's star list by himself.
The Usman trilogy on a mat is clever business. Usman broke his jaw once and outpointed him once, both with striking. Take the striking away and Colby gets to rewrite the rivalry on his own terms. Usman should still take it. There is money in it and a chance to prove the wrestling gap was never the story.
The Chimaev call-out with the weight dig is peak Colby. Khamzat has apparently already said RAF has plans for it. That match is the one I would pay for. Both guys think they are the best wrestler in the room. Only one gets to be right.
