Dana White Mixes Up Wang Cong and Natalia Silva Records Ahead of UFC 332
Dana White credited Wang Cong with wins over Namajunas, Andrade and Grasso. Those are all Natalia Silva victories.

Dana White tried to sell the UFC 332 main event and got his own headliner's resume completely wrong. While explaining why Wang Cong deserves the vacant flyweight title shot, White listed wins over Rose Namajunas, Jessica Andrade and Alexa Grasso as proof of Cong's credentials, per LowKick MMA and MMA Mania.
The problem: those are all Natalia Silva wins. Cong has never fought any of those three.
White did correctly note Cong's 10-1 professional MMA record and her 2015 kickboxing victory over Valentina Shevchenko. But the rest of the resume he rattled off belongs entirely to the woman Cong is fighting, not Cong herself.
For the record, Natalia Silva is 20-5-1 overall, 8-0 in the UFC, riding a 14-bout winning streak with signature victories over Andrade, Grasso and Namajunas. Wang Cong is 10-1 overall, 5-1 in the UFC, with recent wins over Bruna Brasil, Ariane da Silva, Eduarda Moura and Tracy Cortez following a November 2024 loss.
Fans roasted White online, calling the mistake "laughably sad" and "a bad look" for the UFC president ahead of a numbered event.
UFC 332 takes place October 3 in Salt Lake City, featuring Silva vs. Cong for the vacant women's flyweight championship left open by Shevchenko's shoulder injury.
This is the kind of thing that makes you wonder how much Dana actually cares about the women's divisions. You're promoting a title fight on a numbered card and you can't tell the two fighters apart? He literally gave the challenger's entire highlight reel to the champion.
I get it, Dana runs a massive organization with events every week. But the UFC 332 main event is already a tough sell after Shevchenko pulled out, and the president going on camera and botching the headliner's record does not help. If anything, it confirms what critics have said for years: women's MMA gets treated like an afterthought at the top.
Both Silva and Cong deserve better than that. Silva is on one of the best runs in the division's history, and Cong earned her shot the hard way. The least the boss can do is know which one beat Rose Namajunas.
