DAZN has officially announced an exclusive multi-fight deal with WBO welterweight champion Devin Haney, per boxing reporter Sean Zittel.

The signing comes on the heels of a proposed fight with Shakur Stevenson falling apart. Stevenson recently signed a multi-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing, closing the door on what many considered one of the most anticipated matchups in the sport.

Haney, who has operated as his own promoter through Devin Haney Promotions throughout much of his career, has aired most of his fights on DAZN already. The new deal formalizes that relationship with an exclusive, multi-fight agreement. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The move puts Haney in a growing stable of fighters signed directly to the platform. Teofimo Lopez inked a similar deal with DAZN just one week earlier and immediately landed a title fight against Rolando Romero. DAZN has also struck broadcast agreements with Top Rank, Golden Boy Promotions, and Premier Boxing Champions in 2026, positioning itself as boxing's dominant streaming platform. Zuffa Boxing remains the only major promotion not working with DAZN.

Haney is widely expected to defend his WBO welterweight title against mandatory challenger Keyshawn Davis, the WBO's No. 1 ranked 147-pound contender, per Dan Rafael. The fight is reportedly trending toward being co-promoted by Devin Haney Promotions and Top Rank and broadcast on DAZN. Haney has gone 3-0 in fights co-promoted with Top Rank.

The welterweight division is deep, and Haney has positioned himself at the center of it. A unification bout against WBO/IBF champion Liam Paro has also been agreed to for late 2026, per earlier reports. With DAZN behind him and multiple title fights in the pipeline, the next several months could define whether Haney becomes the undisputed face of 147 pounds.

REY'S TAKERey Aguirre

Smart move by Haney, and the timing tells you everything. Shakur Stevenson goes to Zuffa Boxing, and within days Haney locks in with DAZN. He is not sitting around waiting for the perfect deal. He is securing his platform and getting to work.

People can say what they want about Haney's style, and they do, loudly. But the man knows how to handle the business side. He has been his own promoter for years, and now he has the biggest boxing platform in the world writing checks specifically for him. That is leverage, and Haney earned it by staying active and winning fights.

The Keyshawn Davis mandatory is the obvious next step, but that fight just got more complicated with Davis leaving Top Rank. If Davis cannot get his act together, Haney should not be punished for it. There are other big fights at 147. Liam Paro is out there with a belt. The division is deep enough that Haney will not be short on options.
