Jaron Ennis is not impressed by Sebastian Fundora's knockout talk. The WBC welterweight champion laughed off the towering 6-foot-6 Fundora's claim that he would knock out both Ennis and Vergil Ortiz Jr., calling him "too small" to back up his words.

"He too small. He not big enough," Ennis told YSM Sports Media when asked about Fundora's comments. "But we focused on Josh Kelly, and that's the main focus, main target right now. We'll talk about him later on."

Fundora had said in a recent interview that size wouldn't be an issue against the welterweight elite. "If it was those guys, I'd still knock them out," Fundora said. "These guys can't hurt me."

Ennis said he watched Fundora's recent title defense against Ermal Hadribeaj, a final-round stoppage that Ennis questioned. "Definitely watching to pick him apart," Ennis said. "Just to see what he got, and it's what I've been knew."

Ennis also made clear he wants no excuses if a fight with Fundora materializes. "I don't want nobody to say nothing. No excuses."

The 27-year-old Ennis recently signed a seven-fight extension with Matchroom and will face Josh Kelly next before looking at bigger matchups. Fundora, the WBC junior middleweight champion, has floated the idea of moving down to welterweight for a superfight, but nothing is close to being finalized, per Boxing News 24.

REY'S TAKERey Aguirre

Ennis calling a 6-foot-6 fighter "too small" is the most Jaron Ennis thing I've ever heard. And honestly, he might be right. Fundora's height is freakish, but at 147 pounds he'd be stretched thin. That frame works at 154 where he can carry some weight on it. At welterweight, Ennis would walk him down.

I love the confidence from both guys. Fundora saying "these guys can't hurt me" is bold when Ennis has 20 knockouts and hands that crack at any range. But Ennis is smart to handle Kelly first and let the Fundora talk build.

This is one of those fights that sells itself if they let it marinate. Two young champions with opposite styles, both convinced they'd destroy the other. I want to see it at 147 where Ennis has the power advantage. Sometime in 2027 would be perfect.
