Francis Ngannou Net Worth 2026: The $600K UFC Purse, Saudi Millions and MVP

Francis Ngannou's net worth in 2026 is an estimated $25 million to $35 million, almost all of it earned after the UFC: about $30 million in reported boxing purses plus a $1.5 million MVP debut.

Francis Ngannou's net worth in 2026 is an estimated $25 million to $35 million. The split is lopsided: his entire 13-fight UFC run produced disclosed purses topping out at $600,000, while two boxing matches in Riyadh were reported at roughly $10 million against Tyson Fury and $20 million against Anthony Joshua. Add a $1.5 million purse for his May 2026 MVP debut, an equity stake from his PFL years, and a Stake.com sponsorship, and the Celebrity Net Worth figure of $25 million, a third-party estimate, looks like a floor rather than a ceiling.

He walked out on the UFC heavyweight title in January 2023 after rejecting a reported $8 million three-fight offer, got called a liar and a money chaser by Dana White, and then earned more in one night against Fury than in his whole UFC career. He has said that himself, on the record, more than once.

UFC Purses: Five Years of Five and Six Figures

The commission record for Ngannou's UFC career is thin because many of his fights landed in states that do not publish or in Nevada after it went dark in 2020. What exists is modest. Massachusetts disclosed $500,000 flat for his first title shot, a decision loss to Stipe Miocic at UFC 220 on Jan. 20, 2018; Ngannou had said beforehand that was what he would make. Six months later Nevada listed him at just $100,000 for the infamous staring contest with Derrick Lewis at UFC 226, while Lewis took $260,000 with his win bonus.

The rebuild paid in steps. Arizona disclosed $220,000 ($110,000 to show and win) for the first-round knockout of Cain Velasquez on Feb. 17, 2019. Florida showed $260,000 for the first-round knockout of Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 249 on May 9, 2020. His title-winning knockout of Miocic at UFC 260 on March 27, 2021, has no official figure because Nevada no longer publishes; secondary reports of a $500,000 base are estimates.

The last one is the one everybody remembers. California disclosed $600,000 for Ngannou's unanimous decision over Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 on Jan. 22, 2022, the final fight on his contract. Gane got $500,000. Ngannou has confirmed on the record that $600,000 was his pay for that night. The only firm bonus money on top is six Performance of the Night awards at $50,000 each, or $300,000, for finishing Anthony Hamilton, Andrei Arlovski, Curtis Blaydes, Junior dos Santos, Rozenstruik and Miocic. His knockout of Alistair Overeem at UFC 218 famously did not get one.

Why He Walked

Ngannou went into the Gane fight knowing it was his last contracted bout, and said afterward he would not fight for $500,000 or $600,000 anymore and did not feel like a free man. The UFC held him under the champion's clause for most of 2022. On Jan. 14, 2023, Dana White announced the promotion had released him, stripped the title and waived its matching rights, claiming the offer on the table would have made him the highest-paid heavyweight in company history, above Brock Lesnar.

On The MMA Hour three days later Ngannou put a figure on it: about $8 million across three fights, including one against Jon Jones. He said he felt slapped in the face with money because the UFC rejected his three non-financial asks: health insurance for fighters, the right to keep his own sponsors, and a fighter advocate on the UFC board. White later said he would never be back in the UFC. In October 2024 White said Ngannou would have made more money by staying. Ngannou called that a lie and said the Fury fight alone paid more than his 13 UFC fights combined.

The Fury Fight: A Reported $10 Million

Ngannou's boxing debut against Tyson Fury on Oct. 28, 2023, in Riyadh was supposed to be a formality. Ngannou dropped Fury with a left hook in the third round and lost a split decision, 95-94, 96-93 and 95-94, with one judge scoring it for him.

The money was never commission-disclosed, because Saudi events do not publish purses. Fury himself said at the September 2023 press conference that Ngannou was "about to make $10,000,000," and Bloomberg reported the same figure. Ngannou's representative Marquel Martin said beforehand that the purse was bigger than his entire UFC career, which the disclosed UFC numbers support. Treat $10 million as a report, not an audited number.

The Joshua Fight: A Reported $20 Million

The Fury performance set up a second Saudi date against Anthony Joshua on March 8, 2024. This one went badly. Joshua knocked him out cold at 2:38 of the second round. Financially it was the best night of Ngannou's life. Forbes estimated his purse in the neighborhood of $20 million before pay-per-view upside, and Sports Business Journal reported that his agent confirmed an eight-figure payday. Joshua's side was reported around $50 million.

Two fights, 0-2, and roughly $30 million in reported purses. That is more than most UFC champions earn in a career.

PFL: Equity, One Fight and a Release

Ngannou signed with the PFL on May 16, 2023. The deal was structured unlike any fighter contract before it: a multi-fight pay-per-view agreement, a $2 million minimum purse for any opponent he faced, an equity stake in the company, the chairmanship of PFL Africa, a seat on the Global Athlete Advisory Board, and the freedom to box. His own per-fight purse was never disclosed.

He fought once for them. On Oct. 19, 2024, at The Mayadeen in Riyadh, he knocked out Renan Ferreira in 3:32 of the first round to win the PFL Super Fights heavyweight title. PFL co-founder Donn Davis said only that the card cost more to stage than UFC 306 at the Sphere and that fighters on it made more. No purse was reported. By December 2025 Ngannou was telling Ariel Helwani his PFL deal was close to ending and he wanted Jon Jones at the UFC's White House card. On March 6, 2026, the PFL announced it had parted ways with him after one fight in nearly three years. Whether he kept any equity has not been reported.

MVP and the $1.5 Million Lins Purse

Three days after the PFL release, Ngannou signed with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions for the first MVP MMA card, headlined by Ronda Rousey against Gina Carano on Netflix. On May 16, 2026, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, he knocked out Philipe Lins with a left hook at 4:31 of the first round in his first MMA fight since 2024.

This time there was a commission. California disclosed Ngannou at $1,500,000 and Lins at $100,000, first reported by MMA Fighting. It is the largest MMA purse of his career on paper and two and a half times his final UFC check. The Ring reported afterward that no multi-fight MVP contract had been signed, and on Oct. 19, 2026, Jake Paul publicly asked the UFC to release Jon Jones so MVP could stage Ngannou against Jones. As of this writing nothing is booked.

Sponsors, the Foundation and Life in Cameroon

Ngannou's biggest named sponsor is Stake.com, which signed him as a brand ambassador on June 3, 2021, with part of the deal paid in cryptocurrency. No other brand deal has been publicly priced.

Much of his money flows home. The Francis Ngannou Foundation built the first MMA gym in Cameroon and funds school supplies and computer labs, with the foundation reporting 26,000 beneficiaries by January 2024. That history shapes why he fought the UFC over sponsors and insurance rather than base pay.

Where the Estimate Lands

Disclosed UFC purses and bonuses come to roughly $2 million, with undisclosed fights and pay-per-view points on UFC 260 and UFC 270 likely pushing total UFC income into the $3 million to $5 million range. The two boxing matches add about $30 million in reported purses. The Ferreira purse is unknown. The Lins fight adds $1.5 million. Gross career earnings of $37 million to $42 million before taxes, trainers and management is a reasonable read.

Fighters keep roughly half of gross after taxes and team costs. Celebrity Net Worth puts him at $25 million, up from $15 million before the Joshua fight. That figure is a third-party estimate with no audit behind it, but it lines up with the sourced purses. An estimate of $25 million to $35 million for 2026 is fair, and a Jones fight on Netflix would move the top end quickly.

REY'S TAKERey Aguirre

Francis Ngannou is the only fighter of his generation who called the UFC's bluff and won. Dana White told the world the offer would have made him the highest-paid heavyweight in company history. Ngannou said it was about $8 million for three fights. He then made more than that getting outpointed by Tyson Fury in one night, and roughly double it getting knocked out by Joshua. You can argue about the losses, but you cannot argue with the bank. The PFL chapter was a mess: one fight in three years is not a career, and an equity stake in a promotion that cut you is a question mark, not an asset. The $1.5 million Lins purse shows what the market actually pays him in MMA when nobody has him under a champion's clause. If MVP gets Jon Jones released, that is a $10 million-plus night and the cleanest fight to make in the sport.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK.

How much did Francis Ngannou make fighting Tyson Fury?

The purse was never disclosed by a commission because the fight took place in Riyadh on Oct. 28, 2023. Fury said at the pre-fight press conference that Ngannou was about to make $10 million, Bloomberg reported the same figure, and Ngannou's representative said the payday exceeded his entire UFC career. Ngannou himself has since said the Fury fight paid more than his 13 UFC fights combined.

How much did Francis Ngannou make against Anthony Joshua?

Forbes estimated his purse for the March 8, 2024, fight in Riyadh at roughly $20 million before any pay-per-view share, and Sports Business Journal reported that his agent confirmed an eight-figure payday. Joshua was reported around $50 million. Ngannou was knocked out in the second round, but the fight remains the largest single payday of his career by a wide margin.

Why did Francis Ngannou leave the UFC?

His contract expired after he beat Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 in January 2022, and the UFC released him and stripped the title on Jan. 14, 2023. Ngannou said the offer was about $8 million for three fights but that the UFC refused his three non-financial demands: health insurance for fighters, the right to keep his own sponsors, and a fighter advocate on the board. Dana White said the deal would have made him the highest-paid heavyweight in UFC history.

What did Francis Ngannou make for the Philipe Lins fight?

The California State Athletic Commission disclosed $1,500,000 for Ngannou and $100,000 for Lins for the May 16, 2026, fight at the Intuit Dome on MVP's first MMA card, which streamed on Netflix. Ngannou won by first-round knockout. It is the largest disclosed MMA purse of his career and two and a half times the $600,000 he received for his final UFC fight against Gane.

Is Francis Ngannou still with the PFL?

No. The PFL announced on March 6, 2026, that it had parted ways with him after he fought just once for the promotion, a first-round knockout of Renan Ferreira in Riyadh in October 2024. He signed with Jake Paul's MVP days later and beat Lins in May 2026. No multi-fight MVP deal has been reported, and Paul has publicly pushed for a Ngannou fight against Jon Jones.
