Gervonta Davis Net Worth 2026: Purses, PPV Buys and the Lost Paul Payday

Gervonta Davis's net worth in 2026 is an estimated $20 million to $35 million, built on a $100 million Ryan Garcia PPV night, Prime Video paydays and a Netflix fight that never happened.

Gervonta Davis's net worth in 2026 is best estimated at $20 million to $35 million. That is an estimate. Celebrity Net Worth puts him at $10 million, Front Office Sports tallied $42 million in career earnings through mid-2024, and his reported paydays range from a $1 million guarantee against Isaac Cruz to somewhere between $15 million and $40 million for the Ryan Garcia fight.

The problem with Tank's money is that almost none of it is on the public record. No state commission has published a purse for any of his major fights. What exists is a mix of reported guarantees from outlets citing industry sources, hard pay-per-view counts from Dan Rafael, and one audited gate figure from New York. So this page separates the numbers that are verified from the ones that are reported, and tells you which is which.

The other complication is that Davis has not fought since the majority draw with Lamont Roach on March 1, 2025. He lost his WBA lightweight title to "champion in recess" status in January 2026, a Netflix exhibition against Jake Paul collapsed, and his coach says the return is now likely early 2027. Every month out of the ring is money not made.

What Is Actually on Record

Here is the short list of Davis money figures that come from an official document. The New York State tax return for Davis vs. Roach, obtained by The Ring, showed a gate of $6,415,815 on 16,420 tickets sold plus 766 comps. The announced attendance of 19,250 was about 2,000 higher than the audited count. That is the only commission-grade number in his entire career file.

Everything else is reported. Pay-per-view counts come from Dan Rafael, who has consistent industry sourcing: roughly 1.2 million buys for Garcia, 325,000 to 350,000 for Frank Martin, about 262,000 for Roach. Purse guarantees come from outlets like Sporting News and Sportskeeda citing "sources," typically in the $1 million to $5 million range before PPV upside.

Davis is his own promoter through his GTD brand since splitting with Mayweather Promotions after the Hector Garcia fight in January 2023, with Premier Boxing Champions handling the shows. Like Jake Paul, that means his guaranteed purse understates what he takes home once the PPV split is counted.

The Ryan Garcia Payday

Davis knocked out Ryan Garcia with a body shot in the seventh round at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on April 22, 2023. Showtime reported about 1.2 million pay-per-view buys at $84.99, more than $100 million in US PPV revenue, and a $22.8 million gate on 20,842 announced attendance, the fifth-largest gate in Nevada history at the time.

The reported guarantees were $5 million for Davis and $2.5 million for Garcia with a 50-50 split of PPV profit. From there the estimates of what Davis actually made spread out badly. Celebrity Net Worth figures about $15 million total. EssentiallySports later reported he "took home nearly $40 million." Sportskeeda has him at more than $50 million. Garcia, for what it is worth, said publicly that the event "made over 100m."

My read: with a $5 million guarantee and half the upside on a $100 million PPV night, $25 million to $40 million is the realistic band for Davis, and it remains the biggest check of his career. It is also the night that made him a PPV star in his own right rather than a Mayweather Promotions product.

Frank Martin and Lamont Roach: PPV Comes Back to Earth

Davis stopped Frank Martin in the eighth round at MGM Grand Garden Arena on June 15, 2024, in front of 13,249. The PPV did 325,000 to 350,000 buys at $74.95, which grosses around $26 million at the top of the range. Reported guarantee: $2 million, with total earnings estimated at $3 million to $10 million depending on the source and the split.

Then came Roach at Barclays Center on March 1, 2025. Davis took a knee in the ninth round, referee Steve Willis did not score it a knockdown, and the fight ended a majority draw (115-113 Davis, 114-114, 114-114). Davis blamed grease from a hair treatment getting in his eyes. Roach's response: "If you voluntarily take a knee, that should be a knockdown." The PPV did about 262,000 buys on Prime Video for roughly $21 million in revenue, on top of the audited $6.4 million gate. Reported estimates for Davis's payday sit around $10 million.

Roach also disclosed that Matchroom had reportedly offered Davis $15 million to fight Conor Benn, which Davis declined. Leonard Ellerbe called Eddie Hearn's purse claims around that saga "BS," so file it under reported.

The Jake Paul Fight That Never Happened

On August 20, 2025, Paul and Davis announced a 195-pound exhibition for November 14, 2025, first slated for State Farm Arena in Atlanta and later moved to the Kaseya Center in Miami, live on Netflix. Davis was giving up more than 50 pounds. At the September 23 press conference the two agreed to a $2 million side bet, and Yahoo Sports reported Netflix was paying $50 million for the event.

Roach had said in April that "Jake Paul's going to guarantee you about $40 million," and EssentiallySports reported Davis stood to make about $40 million. Roach also took an undisclosed step-aside payment to postpone his rematch.

None of it got paid. A civil lawsuit was filed against Davis on October 30, 2025, and on November 4 Netflix and MVP announced the event would not proceed. Paul fought Anthony Joshua on December 19 instead and got knocked out in six. Davis missed what would have been the second-largest payday of his career, and possibly the largest.

Sponsorships, Real Estate and Promotion

Davis signed with Under Armour in May 2017, joining a roster that included Tom Brady and Stephen Curry. No terms were disclosed. Sports Illustrated lists Under Armour, Nike, Reebok and Chrome Hearts among his brand relationships. None of these have public dollar figures, and lightweights do not command heavyweight endorsement money, so this is a modest line item compared with fight income.

Real estate is where he has said he puts money. In 2023 he purchased an entire block in his West Baltimore neighborhood for affordable housing, and he told SI in March 2025, "I'll probably be building my real estate portfolio." No valuations have been published.

The promotional side is his most valuable asset on paper. Self-promoting under GTD with PBC as the platform means he keeps the promoter's share. But that structure only pays when he fights, and he has not fought in 18 months.

Where the Estimate Lands

Celebrity Net Worth says $10 million, and SI and EssentiallySports repeat it. That is a third-party estimate and I think it is low. Front Office Sports had Davis at $42 million in career earnings by June 2024, ranking him the highest-earning lightweight in the sport, and the Roach fight added an estimated $10 million after that.

Call it $50 million to $55 million gross across the career. Take out roughly 40 percent for taxes, then trainer, manager and camp costs, then legal fees across multiple cases, then the lifestyle of a 31-year-old star who has been out of the ring since March 2025 with no income from fighting. You land somewhere between $20 million and $35 million, with the Baltimore real estate as the main hard asset.

The upside case is simple: one Netflix-scale fight at 140 pounds, or a Garcia rematch, would add $20 million or more in a night. The downside case is that the legal process drags into 2027 and a 32-year-old lightweight has to rebuild his market from a draw and a two-year layoff. Davis is 30-0-1 with 28 knockouts. The record is still elite. The balance sheet depends entirely on whether he gets back in the ring.

REY'S TAKERey Aguirre

Tank is the most frustrating money story in boxing. He is the best pure puncher at 135 in a generation, he sold 1.2 million pay-per-views without Floyd's machine behind him, and then he left something like $40 million on the table when the Paul fight died. I am not going to pretend the legal side is a footnote; it cost him a belt and a year and a half of prime earning years, and the charges are still open. What bugs me is the Celebrity Net Worth $10 million number getting repeated everywhere like gospel. The career gross is probably five times that. If he comes back in early 2027 against Cruz or Garcia and looks like the guy who folded Kingry with a liver shot, he doubles his net worth in twelve months. If he does not, this page will read like an obituary for a bank account.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK.

How much did Gervonta Davis make against Ryan Garcia?

No official purse was released. Reports put the guarantees at $5 million for Davis and $2.5 million for Garcia, with a 50-50 split of pay-per-view profit on roughly 1.2 million buys and more than $100 million in PPV revenue. Estimates of Davis's total range from about $15 million to more than $40 million. Somewhere in the $25 million to $40 million band is the realistic number for his biggest night.

Is Gervonta Davis still the WBA lightweight champion?

No. The WBA moved him to champion in recess status on January 20, 2026 because of his pending legal proceedings, which vacated the active title. Floyd Schofield and Lucas Bahdi are scheduled to fight for the vacant WBA lightweight belt on October 10, 2026. Davis has not fought since his majority draw with Lamont Roach on March 1, 2025, and currently holds no world title.

Why was the Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis fight cancelled?

The exhibition was set for November 14, 2025 at Miami's Kaseya Center on Netflix. On October 30, 2025 a civil lawsuit was filed against Davis alleging domestic violence, and on November 4 Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions announced the event would not proceed. Paul instead fought Anthony Joshua on December 19 and lost by sixth-round knockout. Davis reportedly stood to earn about $40 million from the Paul bout.

When is Gervonta Davis fighting next?

Nothing is scheduled. Talks for an Isaac Cruz rematch in summer 2026 and a Floyd Schofield fight in September 2026 both fell through. On September 1, 2026 his coach Kenny Ellis said Tank will probably return at the beginning of 2027 and stay at lightweight. His camp has said an opponent has been identified but not announced, and his legal cases in Florida and Maryland remain unresolved.
