Johnny Walker Makes Heavyweight Debut Against Mick Parkin at UFC 332
The 6-foot-5 light heavyweight moves up to face a rising contender in Salt Lake City on October 3.

Johnny Walker is leaving 205 pounds behind. The Brazilian knockout artist will make his heavyweight debut against Mick Parkin on the early prelims of UFC 332 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City on October 3.
Walker (22-10, 1 NC) brings serious pop to the heavyweight division. Seventeen of his 22 wins have come by knockout or TKO, and at 6-foot-5 with an 82-inch reach, he already has the frame for the bigger weight class. He previously fought at a listed 206 pounds at light heavyweight and has been submitted only once across 33 professional bouts. The move comes after a split-decision loss to Dominick Reyes in April, per LowKick MMA.
Parkin (10-1) is the kind of test that makes this interesting. The Englishman fights at 264 pounds and brings a wrestling-heavy style built around control and body work. His UFC run started with four straight wins, including a first-round stoppage of Lukasz Brzeski at UFC 304 that earned him a Performance of the Night bonus. His only loss came to veteran Marcin Tybura in March 2025.
Parkin enters as a moderate betting favorite in early lines, with oddsmakers giving him between 56 and 64 percent implied probability depending on the book. Walker's power at heavyweight could be devastating, but Parkin's grinding style and weight advantage present a real puzzle for the newcomer.
Walker was originally scheduled to face Ante Delija at heavyweight, but that bout fell through. Parkin stepped in, and the UFC has a compelling stylistic clash on its hands.
I love this fight for Walker. He has been treading water at light heavyweight for a while, and the man is built like a heavyweight who has been cutting weight his entire career. At 6-foot-5 with that reach, he just needs to let his hands go without worrying about being undersized.
The risk is Parkin. This is not a gimme debut. Parkin wrestles hard and grinds guys into the fence, and Walker has historically struggled when he cannot land the big shot early. If Parkin gets a hold of him and turns this into a three-round clinch battle, the judges are going his way.
But if Walker comes out clean and throws heat? He might put Parkin away in the first round. That kind of power at heavyweight is a different animal. Early line has Parkin favored, and I get it, but I would not be shocked if Walker opens some eyes in Salt Lake City.
