Josh Hokit Calls Alex Pereira an Auraless Sorceress, Mocks His Walkout Ritual
Unbeaten heavyweight Josh Hokit went after Alex Pereira again, calling him an "auraless sorceress" and mocking his walkout routine.

Josh Hokit is not done poking at Alex Pereira, and this time he went all the way in.
The unbeaten heavyweight called Pereira "the auraless sorceress" and took aim at the former two-division champion's signature walkout ritual during an interview with Paul Felder and Michael Bisping. "He paints his face in women's mascara, acts like he's shooting people with a bow," Hokit said, per LowKick MMA.
Hokit, 28, also accused Pereira of using his "Chama" catchphrase to "put curses on everybody," adding that "him and his BBL could go to hell." The comments are the latest in a string of provocations from Hokit aimed at the 39-year-old Pereira, who has largely ignored the younger fighter.
The bad blood traces back to the UFC White House card on June 14, when the two reportedly clashed behind the scenes. Hokit has kept the pressure on since, apparently hoping to talk his way into a fight with one of the biggest names in the sport.
Hokit is scheduled to challenge heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane at UFC 334. Pereira currently has no announced opponent, though Dana White said Saturday he will reveal Pereira's next fight on a Kick stream this weekend.
I grew up around guys like Hokit. Stockton is full of them. Supremely confident, zero filter, will fight literally anyone at any time. And he is backing up the mouth with an unbeaten record and a title shot against Gane at UFC 334. That part is real.
But going at Pereira this hard when the man has not even acknowledged you is a risky play. Pereira is the kind of fighter who remembers everything and says nothing until the cage door closes. If these two ever share an octagon, Hokit better hope his wrestling is as sharp as his insults, because Pereira hits like a truck on fire.
The "auraless sorceress" line is objectively hilarious. I will give him that. But talking your way past Gane and then into a fight with Pereira is a long road, and the second part only happens if Dana wants it. Right now Pereira is ignoring him, which might be the most devastating response of all.
