Khabib Nurmagomedov Net Worth 2026: Purses, PPV Points and Eagle FC

Khabib Nurmagomedov's net worth in 2026 is an estimated $30 million to $45 million, built on UFC purses, a record PPV night, Russian sponsors and Eagle FC.

Khabib Nurmagomedov retired 29-0 and walked away from the UFC at 32 with a lightweight belt he never dropped. So what is the man worth today? My estimate: between $30 million and $45 million as of October 2026. That is a range, not a bank statement, and I will show you every piece of it.

Here is the problem with Khabib money. His biggest fights happened in Abu Dhabi, where nobody publishes purses, or in New York, which does not either. Only Nevada tells you anything. Add a pay-per-view record, a $500,000 fine, a $1 million promotion, a reported tax dispute in Russia and a coaching career that has produced a two-division champion, and you get a number that moves depending on who is counting.

Here is what the commissions reported, what credible outlets reported, and what is just a guess in a suit.

The Disclosed Purses

Start with what we actually know. At UFC 160 in May 2013, Sherdog's salary report listed Khabib Nurmagomedov at $28,000, which was $14,000 to show and $14,000 to win, for beating Abel Trujillo in Las Vegas.

That fight, at UFC 219 in December 2017, paid $160,000 including an $80,000 win bonus, per MMA Mania's payout report from the Nevada card. Barboza got $75,000.

New York is where the paper trail dies. The New York State Athletic Commission does not release fighter pay, so his UFC 205 win over Michael Johnson and his UFC 223 title win over Al Iaquinta have no official numbers. His Reebok payout for the Iaquinta night was a confirmed $30,000, per MMA Mania. That is it.

Abu Dhabi, where he fought Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 and Justin Gaethje at UFC 254, discloses nothing. So the biggest purses of his career are all off the books.

The McGregor Fight and the Half-Million Dollar Fine

UFC 229 on October 6, 2018 is the one disclosed purse that was actually big. The Nevada State Athletic Commission listed Khabib Nurmagomedov at $2 million and Conor McGregor at $3 million, with no win bonuses for either, per MMA Mania and Fightful.

Then came the brawl. Khabib jumped the cage after the fourth-round submission and Nevada withheld his purse. Sherdog reported from the January 29, 2019 hearing that half of the $2 million had been held, that the commission fined him $500,000 and suspended him nine months retroactive to the fight, and that the other $500,000 was returned.

So the biggest disclosed payday of his career netted $1.5 million before PPV points and sponsors.

PPV Points: The Real UFC 229 Payday

UFC 229 did just over 2.4 million pay-per-view buys at $65 each, according to Dave Meltzer's report relayed by MMA Mania and Bloody Elbow. That shattered the previous MMA record held by UFC 202, also a McGregor fight.

Khabib's PPV cut has never been published. Leaked pay figures that circulated in 2023, which GiveMeSport attributed to court filings, put his total UFC 229 take at $6.64 million. Celebrity Net Worth, a third-party estimator, lands at $6.6 million to $7 million once PPV is included.

The same leaked set listed $6,877,500 for both the Poirier and Gaethje fights and a career fight-pay total of $15.65 million. LowKick MMA relayed a Sports Daily estimate of $6.09 million for UFC 242, and BJPenn.com, relaying Forbes Russia, reported the Poirier fight was worth more than $10 million all-in. None of those is a commission, and I label all of them as reports.

Bonuses: Three Checks, One Pattern

For a guy who finished fights with cold efficiency, Khabib's bonus history is thin. He picked up three Performance of the Night checks at $50,000 each, all confirmed by Sherdog's bonus reports.

UFC 219, December 30, 2017: Performance of the Night for the 30-25, 30-25, 30-24 shutout of Edson Barboza. UFC 242, September 7, 2019: Performance of the Night for the third-round rear-naked choke of Dustin Poirier. UFC 254, October 24, 2020: Performance of the Night for the second-round triangle choke that put Justin Gaethje to sleep at 1:34, after which he laid his gloves in the cage and retired.

That is $150,000 total across a 13-fight UFC run.

The Forbes Years, Correctly Stated

You will read in a lot of places that Khabib made the Forbes list of the world's highest-paid athletes. He did not. Forbes' own 2020 recap said Conor McGregor, at $48 million, was the lone MMA representative on the global top 100 for the fifth straight year, and the cutoff was $21.9 million.

What he did do was top Forbes Russia. In July 2019, Forbes Russia ranked him the country's most successful athlete at No. 1 with $11.5 million, per MMA Mania. In June 2020 he topped the Forbes Russia list of the most successful Russian celebrities under 40 with $16.5 million for the twelve months ending April 2020, per MMA Mania, Bloody Elbow and Fightful. That total included his UFC 242 pay plus sponsorships with Reebok and Toyota and roughly $78,000 for speaking appearances. A very good living, and a long way from McGregor's tax bracket.

Sponsors, Eagle FC and the Business Side

Reebok and Toyota were the headline deals during his title run, with Gorilla Energy and Alhadaya black cumin oil also on the list, per BJPenn.com. Gorilla Energy re-signed him to a multi-year deal in August 2021 that Khabib called "the biggest signing in the history of Russian sports," per EssentiallySports, with no dollar figure disclosed.

Then he became a promoter. In November 2020 he bought Gorilla Fighting Championship for a reported $1 million, per LowKick MMA, and rebranded it Eagle Fighting Championship. Eagle FC launched in the United States in Miami on January 28, 2022, signed Kevin Lee, Rashad Evans and Renan Barao, and ran more than 15 events before activity dried up. EssentiallySports reported the promotion held one event in 2024, Eagle FC 55 on November 9. He also has the M-Eat fast food chain, 14 locations across Russia per Sportskeeda, plus the Eagles MMA gym in Dagestan.

Now the uncomfortable part. In May 2024, Cageside Press, citing Russian outlet Mash, reported that Russia's Federal Tax Service had blocked accounts tied to Eagle FC and Khabib's charity fund over a reported 300 million ruble, roughly $3 million, tax debt. OC Media reported in April 2025 that the 2024 debt had been settled and the enforcement case closed, but that accounts were frozen again over a late tax declaration, with about 79 million rubles in assets seized. Neither Khabib nor his representatives commented, per OC Media. Those are reports of a tax dispute, not findings of wrongdoing.

Coaching and Life After the Cage

Khabib's post-fight job is coaching, and he is very good at it. At UFC 311 on January 18, 2025, he cornered Islam Makhachev, Umar Nurmagomedov and Tagir Ulanbekov on one card, per UFC.com. On November 16, 2025, he stood in the corner at Madison Square Garden as Islam Makhachev beat Jack Della Maddalena 50-45 across the board at UFC 322 to become a two-division champion, then draped both belts over Khabib's shoulders, per The Body Lock.

Coaching fees are not published and I am not going to invent a percentage. What the job does is keep Khabib's name attached to the biggest fights in the sport, which keeps the sponsor and appearance money alive long after his last purse cleared.

Where the Estimate Lands

Here is how I get to $30 million to $45 million, and why it is an estimate.

Fight pay: roughly $2.2 million in commission-disclosed purses, plus the three fights that drove everything. Taking the leaked and estimated figures at face value, his UFC career grossed $15.6 million to the low $20 millions before taxes, management and the Nevada fine.

Sponsors and appearances: Forbes Russia had him at $11.5 million in 2019 and $16.5 million in 2019-20, much of it outside the cage. Across his title run and the years since, that points to $15 million to $25 million gross from sponsors.

Business: Eagle FC cost $1 million and has not obviously made it back. M-Eat and the gym are real but small. The reported tax matters, if accurate, took real cash out the door.

Third-party estimators split the difference. Celebrity Net Worth, a third-party estimate, puts him at $25 million. Sportskeeda, another third-party figure, says $40 million. My range sits between and above them because the gross income is well documented at the top end, and because a man who does not drink, does not gamble and lives in Dagestan does not burn through money the way most champions do. If you want one number, use $35 million. If you want the truth, use the range.

REY'S TAKERey Aguirre

I covered the McGregor fight and I still think the funniest number in MMA is that Khabib Nurmagomedov's biggest disclosed purse netted him $1.5 million after Nevada took its cut for jumping the fence. The real money was the 2.4 million buys, and the UFC made sure we never saw his slice. That is the whole story of his finances: the official paper says $2.2 million in commission purses, the leaks say $15 million plus, and Forbes Russia says he was pulling $16.5 million a year at his peak. I trust the pattern more than any single figure. He never chased boxing money, never did a circus fight, and bought a promotion that is quietly bleeding instead of a yacht. Thirty to forty-five million is my honest range. Anyone quoting you $100 million for Khabib is confusing him with the guy he choked out.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK.

How much did Khabib Nurmagomedov make for the Conor McGregor fight?

The Nevada State Athletic Commission disclosed a $2 million purse for UFC 229, with no win bonus. After the post-fight brawl, Nevada fined him $500,000 and returned the rest of the withheld money. Leaked figures and third-party estimates put his full take, including pay-per-view points from a reported 2.4 million buys, in the $6.6 million to $7 million range, but the UFC has never confirmed his PPV share.

Was Khabib Nurmagomedov on the Forbes highest-paid athletes list?

Not the global one. Forbes said Conor McGregor was the only MMA fighter on its world top 100 in 2020, and the cutoff was $21.9 million. Khabib did top Forbes Russia's rankings, first in July 2019 with $11.5 million as the country's most successful athlete, then in June 2020 with $16.5 million for the year ending April 2020, counting his UFC 242 pay plus Reebok and Toyota sponsorships.

What happened to Khabib's Eagle FC promotion?

He bought Gorilla Fighting Championship for a reported $1 million in late 2020, renamed it Eagle FC, and launched in Miami in January 2022 with Kevin Lee, Rashad Evans and Renan Barao on the roster. Activity slowed sharply after that. EssentiallySports reported the promotion ran only one event in 2024, and Russian media reported tax authorities blocked accounts tied to Eagle FC in 2024 over a tax debt that was later reported settled.

Does Khabib Nurmagomedov still make money from MMA after retiring?

Yes, mostly through coaching and the visibility that comes with it. He cornered Islam Makhachev, Umar Nurmagomedov and Tagir Ulanbekov at UFC 311 in January 2025 and was in Makhachev's corner when he won the welterweight title at UFC 322 in November 2025. Coaching fees are not public, but the role keeps his sponsorship and appearance value high, and his M-Eat restaurant chain and Dagestan gym add business income.
