The UFC has its year-end headliner. Charles Oliveira will defend his BMF championship against Diego Lopes in the main event of UFC 335 on December 12 in Las Vegas, per Sherdog.

Oliveira (37-11, 1 NC) won the BMF belt at UFC 326 with a unanimous decision over Max Holloway. The former lightweight champion has looked sharp since dropping back down from his brief flirtation with welterweight, submitting Mateusz Gamrot with a face crank at UFC Fight Night 261 in October 2025 before outpointing Holloway for the novelty title.

Lopes (28-8) earned the shot despite a loss to Alexander Volkanovski in their rematch at UFC 325. The Mexican-born Brazilian bounced back with a second-round knockout of Steve Garcia and has put together a 7-3 UFC record that includes wins over several ranked opponents. He is a live underdog with knockout power and creative striking.

The co-main event is a heavyweight clash between Alex Pereira and Sergei Pavlovich. Pereira (13-4) is looking for his first heavyweight win after losing to Ciryl Gane at UFC White House in June. Pavlovich (21-3) demolished Tallison Teixeira in 39 seconds at UFC Macau and is the kind of fast-twitch puncher who can make Pereira's chin a factor. Joe Pyfer vs. Bo Nickal at middleweight rounds out the announced card.

UFC 335 is shaping up as a stacked year-ender with title implications across multiple divisions.

REY'S TAKERey Aguirre

This is a fun fight. Oliveira is probably the better grappler on the planet, but Lopes is no joke on the feet and he is dangerous enough off his back that Do Bronx cannot just take him down and coast. The BMF belt is a made-up title, but the matchmaking here is real. Two guys who will actually engage.

The co-main is the one that has me sitting up, though. Pereira at heavyweight against Pavlovich is a coin flip with bad intentions on both sides. Pereira needs to prove the Gane loss was an outlier, not a ceiling. Pavlovich can put anyone out in one shot. Add Pyfer vs. Nickal and this December card already feels like a pay-per-view worth buying in October.
