Lucas Bahdi Fires Back at Shakur Stevenson After F-Level Insult

Bahdi says the former champ would be the one getting put to sleep if they ever shared a ring.

Shakur Stevenson took a shot at Lucas Bahdi from the sidelines. Bahdi punched back.

After Floyd Schofield beat Bahdi by decision to claim the WBA lightweight title on October 10, Stevenson hopped on social media to pile on. "A C level fighter beat a F level fighter!!" Stevenson posted, per Boxing News 24.

Bahdi wasn't having it. He fired back on X, turning the insult around: "Well this 'F level fighter' would put your little running ass on the canvas and to Zzzzzz."

He also jabbed Stevenson's inactivity, adding: "Keep focused on Zuffa actually getting you a fight."

The dig at Stevenson's schedule carries weight. The former unified super featherweight champion has been largely inactive while negotiating his next bout under Zuffa Boxing. Stevenson's recent run of opponents, including Shuichiro Yoshino, Edwin De Los Santos, Artem Harutyunyan, and Josh Padley, has drawn criticism for lacking elite-level competition outside of the William Zepeda win, per Boxing News 24.

Bahdi, meanwhile, just went the distance with Schofield in a competitive title fight. He may have lost, but he showed up and fought a live opponent. That's more than Stevenson has done in months.

Stevenson's signature win over Teofimo Lopez remains his best result, but prolonged inactivity has eroded some of the momentum it built. Whether a Bahdi-Stevenson fight ever materializes is anyone's guess, but the trash talk is officially on the record.

REY'S TAKERey Aguirre

Shakur Stevenson calling anybody an F-level fighter while sitting on the couch is rich. The man hasn't fought in how long? Meanwhile Bahdi just went to war with Schofield for a world title. Took the L, but he was in there.

I get it. Stevenson is technically gifted, probably the best pure boxer at 135 right now. But talent doesn't mean much when you're not using it. The Zuffa deal was supposed to bring big fights, and so far it's brought big silence.

Bahdi's response was perfect. Short, direct, and he landed the best shot of the whole exchange with that "keep focused on Zuffa actually getting you a fight" line. That one stings because it's true. Shakur needs to stop tweeting about other people's fights and go have one of his own.
