Claressa Shields Net Worth 2026: Purses, the $8M Deal and the Scott Payday

Claressa Shields' net worth is an estimated $5M to $10M in 2026, built on seven-figure purses, a $1.5M Perkins payday and a minimum $8M Wynn Records and Salita deal.

Claressa Shields' net worth in 2026 is best estimated at $5 million to $10 million. That is our estimate, not a disclosure. What is on the record: a $500,000 guaranteed purse filed with the Georgia commission for her August 2026 win over Kaye Scott, a $1.5 million purse she stated for the Danielle Perkins fight in February 2025, and a minimum $8 million multi-fight deal with Wynn Records and Salita Promotions signed in November 2025.

Shields is 19-0 with 4 knockouts after stopping Scott in six rounds at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, a win that gave her the WBC and WBA middleweight titles, her 20th and 21st world titles. She has held world titles in five divisions. She is the only boxer, man or woman, to hold three undisputed titles at the same time, and a two-time Olympic gold medalist.

The money has lagged the resume, which is the whole story of her career. Here is what she has actually been paid, what the big deal is worth, and why the third-party "net worth" figures floating around are mostly guesswork.

Disclosed purses: what the commissions show

The only recent commission figure we have is from the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission for Shields vs. Scott on August 15, 2026. Shields' disclosed purse was $500,000. Scott's was $54,320. Troy Isley made $30,000, and the rest of the card got less, including a widely mocked $150 each for the Orlando Brown vs. Ray J celebrity bout. Cris Cyborg called the undercard money "criminal."

Shields pushed back hard on the $500,000 headline. Her position, as reported by Baller Alert, is that the figure is the "guaranteed base purse that appears on the commission record," not her total pay, and that her real take includes a share of the event's business, including gate and sponsorship. She said she has made more than $1 million per fight since the Savannah Marshall bout in October 2022. No outlet has published documents showing the back end, so treat the $500,000 as the floor and her seven-figure claim as her word.

Earlier numbers, which 21Ninety attributed to ESPN, show the climb. Her pro debut against Franchon Crews-Dezurn in November 2016 paid $50,000. The January 2020 win over Ivana Habazin paid about $300,000.

Her biggest paydays: Perkins, Cornejo and the seven-figure era

The fight that moved her into real money was the February 2, 2025 heavyweight bout with Danielle Perkins at the Dort Financial Center in Flint, her hometown. Shields told USA Today Sports before the fight that her purse would be $1.5 million, plus a non-monetary bonus she did not detail. She won a unanimous decision to become undisputed heavyweight champion.

Before that, the Associated Press reported in June 2023 that Shields expected to earn about $1 million for the Maricela Cornejo fight at Little Caesars Arena, and that her previous two fights had each paid seven figures, making her the first woman to do that. Her promoter Dmitriy Salita told the AP that men's television deals ran 10 to 20 times what women's did. Shields' own line was simpler: "We don't get the equal TV time, the equal promotion, equal pay."

Sports Illustrated's estimated table puts her 2022 to 2024 fights, Ema Kozin, Marshall, Cornejo and Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse, in the $500,000 range each, but those figures are unattributed and conflict with the AP reporting. The honest summary is that Shields went from $50,000 in 2016 to a seven-figure range by 2022, and that is before the 2025 deal changed her floor.

The $8 million Wynn Records and Salita deal

On November 6, 2025, CBS Sports reported that Shields had signed a multi-fight partnership with Wynn Records, a music label whose roster includes Papoose, and Salita Promotions, guaranteeing her a minimum of $8 million. AfroTech, citing Reuters, reported the structure as four fights over two years with a $3 million signing bonus. The WBC congratulated her on what it called a historic deal. ESPN and Yahoo Sports carried the same $8 million figure.

Shields framed it as a point of principle. "This deal represents more than just a contract; it's a statement," she said, adding that she had "fought my entire career to prove that women's boxing deserves equal respect, equal pay, and equal opportunity." At the press conference she compared herself to male Olympians: "When a man has an Olympic gold medal and turns pro, they sign him to a million-dollar signing bonus."

Two fights have been fought under the deal so far: the Crews-Dezurn rematch in February 2026 and the Scott fight in August 2026. At a minimum of $8 million over four fights, that averages $2 million a fight before any upside, which lines up with her claim that the $500,000 Georgia figure is a fraction of her real pay.

Gates, Detroit sellouts and the business behind the purse

Shields has turned Detroit into a reliable gate, which matters because her deals give her a piece of the event. Her July 2025 unanimous decision over Lani Daniels at Little Caesars Arena sold out at 15,369 seats and generated a live gate of nearly $1.5 million, per The Ring. "Out of 15,369 seats, we sold 15,369 seats," she said afterward.

The February 23, 2026 rematch with Crews-Dezurn, also at Little Caesars Arena, drew close to 18,000 and ended in a 100-90 sweep on all three cards, per Inside the Ropes. The main event aired on DAZN with the undercard on Zeus Network, the same split used for the Scott card in Atlanta, where DAZN carried the main card and Zeus the prelims.

Those are not Canelo numbers, but they are the best gates in women's boxing, and they explain why a promoter and a record label were willing to guarantee eight figures to a fighter whose commission purses had topped out around $1.5 million.

PFL, sponsors and the movie

Outside the ring, the numbers go soft. Shields signed a multi-year deal with the Professional Fighters League and went 2-1 in MMA, beating Brittney Elkin in her June 2021 debut and losing to Abigail Montes later that year. PFL never disclosed her pay.

Her sponsor list is long. Forbes and Sports Illustrated have listed Bose, Dick's Sporting Goods, Celsius, Everlast, Ethika, Puma, Monster Energy, Audi and NXT LVL water among her partners, and she appeared in Powerade's "Just a Kid" campaign. None of the terms are public, and SI noted the sponsorship income is "well hidden." She told Forbes in 2025 that her YouTube channel brings in around $5,500 in some months, which tells you the digital side is pocket money.

She was an executive producer on The Fire Inside, the 2024 film about her life directed by Rachel Morrison with MGM backing. No compensation was disclosed. She also runs T-Rex Promotions and the Claressa Shields Community Outreach Program, a non-profit in Flint.

Where the estimate lands

Add it up conservatively. Roughly $1 million to $1.5 million per fight across 2022 to 2025 for six fights, by her account and the AP's, is somewhere around $6 million to $8 million gross. The Wynn and Salita deal adds a $3 million signing bonus and at least $5 million more across four fights, two of which are done. Call it $12 million to $15 million in gross career ring earnings through 2026, before the sponsorship and film money nobody will put a number on.

Boxing takes a heavy cut of gross. Trainers, management, promotional splits and taxes routinely take 40 to 50 percent, which is how a fighter who has grossed around $13 million lands in the $5 million to $10 million range in actual net worth. Celebrity Net Worth lists her at $5 million as of August 2026, and older third-party estimates ran $1 million to $5 million. Those are outside guesses, not disclosures, and the $8 million deal has pushed the floor up since most of them were written.

Our estimate: $5 million to $10 million, with the upper half of that range more likely if she collects the full guarantee by late 2027. For a fighter with 21 world titles and two Olympic golds, it is still a fraction of what a comparable men's resume would be worth, which is exactly the argument Shields has been making since 2016.

REY'S TAKERey Aguirre

Shields has spent a decade being the best fighter in her sport and the most underpaid elite athlete in combat sports, and both things are still true. The Georgia commission figure went viral because people want to be mad at her, not because $500,000 is the whole number. I believe her when she says the back end puts her north of a million; the Detroit gates and the DAZN slot back it up. What I do not love is the undercard. You cannot headline a card that pays Ray J $150 and then talk about equal pay without someone pointing at the prelims. The $8 million deal is the first time a promoter has priced her like a star. The Laila Ali fight she keeps naming is the only one that would actually move her into eight figures a fight, and I would take Shields by decision if it ever happened.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK.

How much did Claressa Shields make for the Kaye Scott fight?

The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission listed a $500,000 purse for Shields and $54,320 for Scott. Shields says that is only the guaranteed base on the commission record and that her total pay includes a share of the gate and sponsorship revenue, putting her above $1 million. No documents showing the back end have been published, so the $500,000 is the verified floor.

What is Claressa Shields' biggest purse?

The largest figure she has put on the record is $1.5 million for the February 2025 heavyweight fight with Danielle Perkins in Flint, which she told USA Today Sports before the bout. Under her Wynn Records and Salita Promotions deal, a minimum of $8 million across four fights, the average per fight is about $2 million, so her 2026 fights may have passed the Perkins number without a disclosure.

What is the $8 million Claressa Shields deal?

In November 2025 Shields signed a multi-fight partnership with Wynn Records, a music label, and Salita Promotions that guarantees her a minimum of $8 million. Reuters, via AfroTech, reported four fights over two years with a $3 million signing bonus. CBS Sports called it a first-of-its-kind deal because a record label is a partner. The Crews-Dezurn rematch and the Scott fight were the first two bouts under it.

How much does Claressa Shields make from sponsors?

Nobody outside her camp knows. Forbes and Sports Illustrated list Bose, Dick's Sporting Goods, Celsius, Everlast, Ethika, Puma, Monster Energy, Audi and NXT LVL water as partners, but no terms have been disclosed. She told Forbes her YouTube channel earns around $5,500 in some months. She was also an executive producer on The Fire Inside, the 2024 film about her life, with no compensation reported.

Is Claressa Shields the highest-paid female boxer?

By disclosed guarantees, she is in the top tier. The $8 million minimum deal is the largest publicly reported contract in women's boxing, and the AP reported she was the first woman to earn seven-figure purses in back-to-back fights in 2022 and 2023. Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano have earned large purses for their trilogy, but their full figures were not disclosed by commissions either.

Figures in this piece come from the sources above; purses, deals and net worth totals are estimates unless a commission or the fighter disclosed them. Spotted an error? Send a correction.
