Bill Haney Pushes November 28 in Atlanta for Shakur Stevenson Showdown
Bill Haney proposes a date and city for Devin Haney vs. Shakur Stevenson at 145 pounds on DAZN.

The Shakur Stevenson vs. Devin Haney super fight just got a concrete timeline. Bill Haney, Devin's father and manager, told the True Media podcast that he wants the fight on November 28 in Atlanta at a catchweight of 145 pounds.
"There has been a challenge to their team to take the fight at 145 and a half," Bill Haney said, though he also referred to 145 flat as the final offer elsewhere in the interview. "The offer is on the table for him to fight in November."
Haney confirmed that DAZN has made an offer for the bout and said he is not discussing other opponents for his son. The focus is entirely on Stevenson.
The timing is aggressive. If a deal were finalized immediately, Stevenson would have just over seven weeks to prepare. Each day of continued negotiation shrinks that window. Stevenson recently accepted the 145-pound catchweight publicly, posting on X: "145.0 U GOT A DEAL DEEHOE!!!!" Devin Haney responded by quoting the post and writing: "Crown me #1 P4P after this InshaAllah."
What remains unresolved is whether Stevenson has dropped his earlier demand for a 10-pound rehydration cap. Stevenson typically fights at 140 and wanted to limit how much weight Haney could regain after weigh-in. Haney's camp offered no rehydration clause in its proposal. That gap could still stall negotiations even with the catchweight agreed upon.
Atlanta would be a neutral site for both fighters, with neither calling the city home. A November 28 date would land the fight on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, a prime slot for a pay-per-view audience.
Bill Haney is trying to set the terms and force Shakur's hand, and honestly, it is a smart play. Put a date out there, put a city out there, let the public pressure build. If Shakur says no to November 28, he looks like the one ducking.
But I do not think Shakur takes this date. Seven weeks is tight for a fight this big, and his camp has been meticulous about controlling conditions. The rehydration clause is still a real sticking point. At 145 with no cap, Haney could walk into the ring at 160-plus, and Stevenson knows that.
This fight happens eventually because the money is too good for both sides. My gut says early 2027, not late November. But the fact that we have a specific date and a DAZN offer on the table means the needle is moving. That is more than we could say a month ago.
