Josh Kelly has agreed terms to fight Jaron "Boots" Ennis in a three-belt welterweight unification, per Boxing News 24. Kelly's trainer Adam Booth confirmed the deal is done on their end.

"We've agreed all the terms," Booth said. "And apparently, from what I've been told, so has Boots. We're just waiting for the date."

The fight would put Kelly's IBF welterweight title on the line against Ennis's WBA and WBO belts, with the winner holding three of the four major titles at 147 pounds. State Farm Arena in Atlanta is the expected venue, with a target window of late November or December 2026.

Kelly captured the IBF strap with a career-defining performance earlier this year, establishing himself as one of the most skilled technicians in the division. But Ennis represents a massive step up. The Philadelphia puncher has torn through the welterweight division with frightening power, and the question for Kelly is whether his movement and reflexes can hold up against sustained pressure.

For Ennis, the unification is the logical next step in his march toward undisputed status. Eddie Hearn's involvement on Kelly's side adds the promotional machinery to make the fight happen, and both camps appear ready.

The welterweight division has been crying out for a unification of this magnitude. With Terence Crawford having moved on, Kelly and Ennis now sit at the top of the 147-pound food chain. Whoever walks out of Atlanta with three belts will have the strongest claim to being the best welterweight in boxing.

REY'S TAKERey Aguirre

This is the fight boxing needs right now. Three belts, two young champions, no ducking. Adam Booth sounds confident and Ennis's side is apparently lined up too, so the only thing left is the date.

I'll be honest, Kelly is going to have a hard night. He's slick, he's technical, and the IBF title proved he belongs at this level. But Ennis is a different animal. That kid hits like a middleweight and his output is relentless. Kelly's best path is to make it ugly, use angles, and keep Boots guessing. If he stands in the pocket and trades, it's over.

Atlanta is a smart choice for the venue. Big arena, big fight energy. Late November or December works for the calendar. Let's just get the date locked in and stop talking about it.
