Nate Diaz Net Worth 2026: McGregor Purses, the $9M Fanmio Fight and MVP
Nate Diaz's net worth in 2026 is an estimated $8M to $15M, built on $2.5M in disclosed McGregor purses, a disputed $10M Masvidal contract and a reported MVP deal.

Nate Diaz's net worth in 2026 is an estimate, and our range is $8 million to $15 million. That number is built from two commission-disclosed McGregor purses worth $2.5 million combined, a $10 million Masvidal boxing contract that is still being fought over in court, a reported eight-figure MVP deal for the Mike Perry fight, and nearly two decades of UFC show money.
Nobody outside Diaz's camp knows the real figure. The UFC never disclosed his pay-per-view points, Nevada stopped publishing fighter payouts years ago, and the biggest check of his boxing career has not fully arrived. What follows is every number we could pin to a real source, with the guesses labeled as guesses.
The Stockton kid who won The Ultimate Fighter 5 in 2007 has been one of the most bankable fighters in the sport for a decade. He has also, by his own account, been underpaid for most of it. Here is what the record actually shows.

- $8M to $15M (estimate)
- UFC 196 disclosed purse
- $500,000 (Nevada, Mar 2016)
- UFC 202 disclosed purse

- Masvidal boxing contract
- $10M, $9M unpaid per lawsuit
- UFC 279 bonus
- $50,000 Performance of the Night

The McGregor Purses: $500,000 and $2 Million

The two fights that changed Diaz's bank account came in 2016, and both have hard numbers behind them because the Nevada State Athletic Commission still published payouts back then.
At UFC 196 in March 2016, Diaz took the fight with Conor McGregor on short notice and choked him out in the second round. His disclosed purse was $500,000. McGregor's was $1 million, the first seven-figure disclosed purse in UFC history, and the man who beat him got half of it.
The rematch at UFC 202 in August 2016 was where Diaz finally got paid like a headliner. Nevada confirmed to ESPN that McGregor earned $3 million, the richest disclosed purse in MMA history at the time, and Diaz earned $2 million. McGregor won a majority decision over five rounds. Both men were widely expected to earn far more from undisclosed pay-per-view bonuses, and the UFC does not release those terms. The third-party estimate from MMA Salaries, cited by SportBible, puts Diaz's UFC 202 take at around $5.17 million once PPV is included. Treat that as a guess, not a disclosure.
UFC 279 and the Ferguson Finish

Diaz's last UFC fight was September 2022 at UFC 279 in Las Vegas. Khamzat Chimaev missed weight by a mile, the card got reshuffled the day before, and Diaz ended up submitting Tony Ferguson with a fourth-round guillotine. He collected a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for it, per BJPenn.com's bonus report.
His actual purse was never disclosed because Nevada no longer releases payouts. What we have is Diaz's own words. Asked how much extra the UFC offered him to stay on the card after the opponent switch, he told reporters he "lost count," and said he told the promotion: "You made me change my opponent? You guys gotta give me more than you give any of the champions in this whole organization." When they said they had already paid him, his reply was, "I want more than that, then."
That was the final fight on his contract. He walked out of the UFC as a free agent with a win, a bonus and a sellout crowd at T-Mobile Arena. MMA Salaries estimates his UFC 279 payday at roughly $971,000 including bonuses, which again is a third-party figure.
The Jake Paul Boxing Match

Diaz made his professional boxing debut on August 5, 2023 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, losing a 10-round unanimous decision to Jake Paul (97-92, 98-91, 98-91). Paul dropped him with a counter left hand in the middle rounds, but Diaz finished the fight on his feet and even tried to choke Paul in a clinch.
The money is murkier than the scorecards. Early reports put Diaz's guaranteed purse at $500,000, and the Texas commission never confirmed a figure. That guarantee is only the floor. Diaz's camp negotiated a share of pay-per-view and ticket revenue, and nobody has disclosed what that share came to. After the fight, Paul and PFL publicly offered Diaz $10 million for an MMA rematch, an offer PFL founder Donn Davis later said grew to $15 million. Diaz never took it. He has said he was never offered the deal as described. Either way, that money was never earned, so it does not count here.
Masvidal, Fanmio and the $9 Million Still Unpaid

The biggest contract of Diaz's career is also the one he has had the hardest time collecting. On July 6, 2024, he boxed Jorge Masvidal at the Honda Center in Anaheim and won a 10-round majority decision, evening the score from UFC 244 in November 2019, when Masvidal won by doctor stoppage after Diaz was cut.
Diaz's purse for the rematch was $10 million: $9 million to show plus a $1 million win bonus, according to his lawsuit. He received $1 million upfront. On July 15, 2024, he sued promoter Fanmio and its owner Solomon Engel in federal court in Florida for fraud and breach of contract, claiming the remaining $9 million was never paid. Engel called the suit frivolous, said Diaz had already been paid "seven figures," and denied any breach.
Where it stands: an arbitrator sided with Diaz for $6 million, and his case remains pending, per Cageside Press. Masvidal, who had a $6 million purse plus a $1 million win bonus on the same card and says he received only about $1.15 million, won a $5.3 million default judgment against Fanmio in October 2025. Diaz has to enforce whatever he wins. A judgment is not a wire transfer, so we count the $1 million he received and treat the rest as money he is owed, not money he has.
The MVP Deal and the Mike Perry Fight

Diaz returned to MMA on May 16, 2026 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, in the co-feature of Most Valuable Promotions' first MMA card, headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano and streamed on Netflix. It was his first MMA fight in nearly four years, and it went badly. Mike Perry battered him in the second round, opened a deep cut on his forehead, and Diaz's corner stopped the fight before round three.
The pay has not been disclosed. What exists is a widely reported figure of around $10 million for the deal, which Joe Rogan repeated on a Fight Companion stream in March 2026, saying Diaz could make "more than 10" million if the rumors were accurate. Diaz himself has said the UFC offered him more than that to come back. None of that is confirmed by a commission or by MVP, so we carry the Perry payday as a reported eight-figure number with a wide margin for error. If it landed anywhere near that, it is the largest check he has actually cashed.
Ten days after the loss, Diaz posted that he was hunting a rematch and was not happy with his activity. At 41, that fight is where the next big number would come from.
Real Fight Inc. and Sponsorship Money

Diaz announced Real Fight Inc. on September 4, 2022, a week before UFC 279. The plan, per his representative Zach Rosenfield, was to promote boxing, MMA and Brazilian jiu-jitsu events and apply for a promoter's license in California. Diaz's line to MMA Underground: "It's the real fighters who know how to put on a show." The company has staged events, including a Chris Avila boxing match, but it has never published revenue figures and there is no public evidence it is a major profit center yet.
Sponsorship income is the same story: real but undisclosed. Diaz has been one of the most visible fighters in the sport since 2016, and his cannabis and CBD advocacy has made him a natural fit for that industry's brands. He has not put numbers on any of it, and we do not invent them.
Where the Estimate Lands

Add it up. Two McGregor purses total $2.5 million disclosed. The third-party career tally from MMA Salaries, which bundles estimated PPV money into fights like UFC 202 and the Masvidal UFC 244 fight, sums to roughly $10.9 million across his 27 UFC bouts. Boxing adds a $500,000 reported guarantee against Paul plus an undisclosed revenue share, and $1 million actually received for Masvidal. The Perry fight adds a reported eight-figure sum that nobody has confirmed.
Gross career fight income is plausibly somewhere between $20 million and $30 million. Then subtract taxes in California, management, training camps in Stockton and Lodi, and nearly 20 years of being a professional fighter. Net worth is what is left, and our estimate is $8 million to $15 million. If the Fanmio judgment ever gets collected, add up to $6 million on top.
Sites that publish a single "Nate Diaz net worth" number are guessing. So are we. The difference is we showed the math.
I grew up in the 209 watching the Diaz brothers fight for gas money, so I will say this plainly: Nate is the most underpaid superstar this sport has produced. He choked out the biggest draw in UFC history for $500,000 and got $2 million for the rematch while the UFC printed money off his name. Then he finally lands a real check against Masvidal and the promoter stops answering the phone. That is the story of Nate's career: he makes everybody else rich first. The Perry fight hurt to watch, and at 41 the rematch is a bad idea for his health and a great idea for his accountant. If he takes it, I expect the Netflix money to be the biggest check he actually cashes. Just do not expect him to ever tell you the number. He never has.
QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK.
How much did Nate Diaz make for the Conor McGregor fights?
Nevada disclosed $500,000 for his UFC 196 win in March 2016 and $2 million for the UFC 202 rematch in August 2016, when McGregor earned a then-record $3 million. Neither figure includes pay-per-view bonuses, which the UFC never releases. Third-party estimates that fold PPV in put his UFC 202 take at around $5 million, but that is not a disclosed number.
Did Nate Diaz get paid for the Jorge Masvidal boxing rematch?
Only partly, according to his own lawsuit. Diaz says his contract was $10 million, he received $1 million upfront, and promoter Fanmio never paid the remaining $9 million after his July 6, 2024 win in Anaheim. An arbitrator sided with Diaz for $6 million and the case is still pending. Masvidal separately won a $5.3 million default judgment against Fanmio in October 2025.
How much did Nate Diaz make to fight Jake Paul?
Early reports put his guaranteed purse at $500,000 for the August 5, 2023 fight in Dallas, and the Texas commission never confirmed a figure. That was only the base. Diaz had a share of pay-per-view and ticket revenue on top, and that number has never been made public. He lost a 10-round unanimous decision.
How much was Nate Diaz paid to fight Mike Perry on Netflix?
It has not been disclosed. Reports ahead of the May 16, 2026 MVP card put the deal around $10 million, and Joe Rogan repeated that figure on a stream, but neither MVP nor a commission has confirmed it. Diaz lost by corner stoppage after the second round at the Intuit Dome and has said he wants a rematch.
Is Nate Diaz still fighting in 2026?
Yes. He returned to MMA in May 2026 for Most Valuable Promotions after nearly four years away and lost to Mike Perry. Days later he posted that he was hunting for his next fight and would be even more motivated for a Perry rematch. He also runs Real Fight Inc., the promotion he launched in September 2022.
