Dominick Reyes Unloads on Daniel Cormier After UFC 333 Knockout
Reyes called Cormier a low-IQ hater on his flight home from Abu Dhabi, and DC fired back.

Dominick Reyes knocked out Azamat Murzakanov in the first round of UFC 333's featured prelim on Saturday night in Abu Dhabi. Then he got on a plane, opened X, and chose violence.
"Real talk, who actually likes hearing low-IQ, hater-ass DC?" Reyes wrote. "Sick of being the nice guy while these clowns flat-out disrespect and marginalize what I've done in this sport."
Reyes, a two-time UFC light heavyweight title challenger, said he heard Daniel Cormier's commentary during his fight and took issue with it. He accused Cormier of bias, called out his lack of research, and objected to being called "kid" on the broadcast. "My name is Dominick, not kid," Reyes wrote. "I'm a grown-ass man."
Then came the Jones jab. "And no, Jon Jones didn't whoop all of us. He whooped you! Bad! Multiple times. Kid."
Reyes also accused Cormier of bias toward fighters from the Caucasus region, per MMA Mania, and said co-commentator Paul Felder had called out the bias on air while Cormier laughed it off.
Cormier responded on X, trying to de-escalate. "Yo, Dom, chill," Cormier wrote. "I don't call you kid negatively. I've only spoken truth to you. When you do some amazing shit like you did today, I praise you." DC added that Reyes seemed to have been "carrying something with you for a while" and offered to meet in person.
Reyes was not interested. "I'm not your buddy, guy. I only care that you have unbiased, well-informed color commentary." He said he would stop, but "not because you asked me to." Cormier's final response: "This is insane. Just stop! Seriously."
I love this. I love every single second of it.
Reyes just had the best win of his comeback, a first-round knockout that reminded everyone he's still dangerous, and instead of basking in it, he spent his entire flight home torching DC on social media. That tells you how long this has been building.
And look, he's not wrong. Cormier's commentary has been a problem for years. The bias is real, the lack of preparation shows, and the "kid" thing is dismissive to a guy who almost beat Jon Jones. The Jones line was a killshot, too. "He whooped you! Bad! Multiple times." Brutal and accurate.
DC handled it about as well as you'd expect, which is to say he immediately got defensive and told Reyes to stop. That's not how you respond to legitimate criticism. Reyes is on a tear right now, five of his last six, and he deserves better from the broadcast booth.
