Ryan Garcia is not interested in fighting Keyshawn Davis or Richardson Hitchins. He's not even interested in pretending to be interested.

Both fighters have publicly called out Garcia in recent weeks, looking to capitalize on his name and the attention that comes with sharing a ring with one of boxing's biggest draws. Garcia's response was blunt. "Who the f*** knows them?!" he said, per Boxing News 24.

Garcia's argument is purely commercial. He believes neither Davis nor Hitchins has built enough recognition with casual fans to justify the risk. Fighting a dangerous but relatively unknown opponent offers all of the competitive danger with none of the financial upside, at least in Garcia's calculation.

Davis, a 2020 Olympic silver medalist, has been building a strong resume as a lightweight prospect. Hitchins is a rising super lightweight with slick defensive skills. Both are legitimate threats in the ring. But Garcia is operating in a different lane, one where pay-per-view numbers and social media reach matter as much as what happens between the ropes.

Garcia's team has reportedly been in discussions with Teofimo Lopez's camp, per Boxing News 24. Potential matchups against Isaac Cruz and Liam Paro have also been floated, though nothing is confirmed. For now, Garcia is picking his spots and making it clear that Davis and Hitchins aren't on his radar.

Garcia is a frustrating fighter to follow because he's not wrong about the business side, but he's also not right about the fighting side. Keyshawn Davis is a problem for anybody at 135 and anyone who watched the Olympics knows his name. Hitchins is slick enough to make Garcia look bad on the inside.

The "who knows them" argument is the oldest trick in boxing. Big-name fighters have been dodging dangerous unknowns since the sport began. Garcia's star power gives him the luxury of choosing, but at some point you have to fight the best available, not just the most famous available.

If the Teofimo fight happens, that's a great matchup and I'll shut up about it. But dismissing two legit contenders as nobodies while your next fight is still TBD isn't the power move Garcia thinks it is. The fans see through it.
